arcplan 8.2.1 STARTJS - Callbacks to arcplan
If anybody know how to properly add the same eval function to a normal arcplan app in the framework or even outside, I could use that. I know how to do it with the Java client, but haven't tried yet with HTML 5.
This is nice (and perhaps dangerous - another discussion later maybe) that allows us to do some interesting things.
For example, you can ask for some information about the user's system like this:
The button is simply a COPY(STARTJS([OBJ1]);[OBJ8])). (obj 8 happens to be the target)
Hope that demonstration was helpful. Remember, as of 8.2.1, without modifying any html, this only works in the BI Wall.
If anybody knows, I would love to hear how the wrapper was created and how STARTJS actually works along with what was added to the BI Wall and why eval() was exposed to the arcplan HTML client.
