Adobe 10 (X) reader crashing when printing PDFs
The latest release of Adobe Reader(10) is causing issues, when printing -
At present there is a high level of frustration among systems management staff upon encountering this problem or the related problem involving an inability to open PDF files on network drives--high enough that many are simply disabling protected mode for entire networks, either via group policy or by manual registry entry.
You can turn off protected mode using the following steps:
1. Launch Reader X and select Edit->Preferences...
2. Select General from left navigation
3. Under application startup uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
