We were able to solve the last remaining item of getting the IMPORT function to work correctly, so from all the testing that was done by the Longview team and myself, I can say that Longview Analytics works with Essbase 19 in the Cloud. It did require the Longview team to give me a special patch version of designer to get it to work, but Im sure that will be included in one of the next releases.
Tasso, thanks again to you and your team for helping get this figured out.

Longview Analytics with Oracle Essbase 19

Hello, I just wanted to see if anyone has used Analytics with Essbase 19. My company is planning on moving to Essbase19 in the cloud soon, and I have not been able to test against it yet.
2 Conclusions:
Thanks for confirming, Eric!
The changes needed on the Longview Analytics side to also support Essbase 19 client are part of the updated Spring'20 release (10.6) and following.
After having installed Essbase 19 client, ESSBASEPATH should point to the client folder itself and PATH should point to the EssbaseClient\bin folder. Creating a connection in Designer, the Agent-URL should be used, e.g https://cloudserver/essbase/a gent

We had a meeting with Oracle a couple of weeks ago about 19 in the cloud. They said if it work on premise, then it will work in the cloud. I am a little skeptical, but I'll wait until we have test environment to try it. Maybe someone from @Longview can comment. Either way if you get it working please post back here, and I'll do the same.

Hi Boyd, after working with the Longview team, we are able to get Longview Analytics to work with Essbase 19 in the Cloud.
Thanks.

Hi Eric,
as you know we are in contact with you and Oracle to get this working and I think you can confirm that we are nearly there. We had to make some changes in our code to support the Essbase 19 client, and as you know it is really looking good.
In the tests so far everything is working without issue, apart from writeback. For this we are still in contact with you and the Oracle product team. It is possible that this is related to some setting in the Essbase cloud demo system and we are confident that we will get this sorted out as well.
@Boyd: We are about to update the Spring'20 release and add some info to the ChangeHistory.txt on the download page once Essbase 19 support is complete.
Cheers, Tasso
