Exporting Data examples
This article contains a link to a working example of an application that exports data, using either the EXPORT or SNAPSHOT function.
The SNAPSHOT function makes a snapshot of an arcplan document. This means the "entire" document, as it currently exists at the DOCUMENT LAYER.
The EXPORT control function exports the contents of hard-coded objects, that reside on a document, into a file. The fields and data rows are separated by tabs and carriage returns.
Typically these functions are used to create excel worksheet files and write them to a users' desktop, as a minimum.
The attached application has examples of both functions and shows how to create an excel sheet file and then also how to open it from a single button-click.
The total functionality in the application is best seen thru a published arcplan application.
