Mobile App prerequesites
To be able using the arcplan Mobile App first the prerequisites for the DHTML client have to be met. The Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) must be used for every step of the arcplan server and web server configuration in the arcplan Administration console whenever the name of the web server or the arcplan Application Server is required.
1. Registration of the arcplan Application Server
2. External URL of the arcplan Client components on the web server
3. External URL of the arcCGI on the web server
4. The html start page of the application will only be recognized if its name is index.html
After creating the html start page, the accessibility of the application should be tested in one of the supported desktop browsers. Please see the system requirements for your arcplan version. Also keep in mind that the FQDN is to be used in the browsers address field too to access a dhtml start page on the web server (e.g. http://myserver.arcplan.com/mobile/index.html).
After having ensured that the html start page is accessible via a desktop browser, please enter the application name and the FQDN of the arcplan server into the connection wizard of the mobile App. If one of the following entries is signed with a red "X" a click on the red X will give a hint of what may be wrong and what is expected in this field.
